BNP Paribas is also working to integrate corporate responsibility into the creation of investment funds.
In addition to financial performance, Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) funds systematically take non-financial criteria into account when assessing and selecting assets.
These criteria are linked to:
- The environment: concerning the direct or indirect impact of the company’s activities on the environment (energy efficiency, prevention of industrial accidents, water resource management, waste management, etc.).
- The social arena: concerning the direct or indirect impact of the company’s activities on stakeholders by reference to universal values (human rights, international labour standards, the fight against corruption, etc.).
- Good corporate governance: focusing on how the company is managed, administered and controlled, particularly with respect to its relationship with its shareholders, its board and its management.
There are different forms of investment funds available to individuals as well as to companies and institutional investors.
