The Equator Principles

In 2009, BNP Paribas joined the steering committee of the Equator Principles, a set of standards for determining, assessing and managing social and environmental risk in project financing for projects costing more than USD $10 million.

Climate Principles

In 2010, BNP Paribas signed the Climate Principles, joining a group of financial institutions determined to play an active role in the fight against climate change by exercising their skills as advisors, lenders, investors and insurers.

 

 

Carbon Disclosure Project

BNP Paribas has been part of this British initiative since its inception. Its aim is to quantify the carbon footprint of the largest global corporations.
In 2010, BNP Paribas joined the Carbon Disclosure Leaders Index France, which includes the twenty companies that have demonstrated the highest levels of transparency.
