Welcome to BNP Paribas
During their first year, new employees are invited to attend an integration seminar. This is a key opportunity for exchanges and discussions with other people within the Group. In particular, it provides an ideal forum in which to communicate and convey BNP Paribas’ values and culture.
Each time you accept a position within the Group, whether it be as a new employee or at a later point in your career, you will be offered a meeting with your line manager at the end of your first three months to review and discuss your integration and progress and to identify any training requirements.
Training: improving your skills
In a constantly evolving professional environment, training is essential in order to adapt each and every employee’s skills to the needs of the Group.
Whether it is technical, managerial or personal development, training provides employees with the necessary tools to succeed in their roles and to progress in their careers within the various entities of the Group.
Employees are provided with a list of the training courses available. BNP Paribas has a training centre in Louveciennes (France).
In 2009, BNP Paribas launched an innovative tool called “Starbank: the Game”. This video game falls within the category of “serious games” which combine serious learning with entertainment. It has been designed specifically to train new employees and to help them understand the different types of activities within the bank. The game is set in a futuristic town and consists of building up business centres and points of sale, investing in new activities and services and following the return on investments in real time.
