Energy Commodities Export Project (ECEP)


By grouping together under a single management umbrella all of the Bank's expertise in energy, commodities, infrastructures, capital goods and asset financing, BNP Paribas has created an innovative structure that meets the full array of client needs and effectively leverages synergies between the various businesses:

  • financing of commodities trading: an activity in which BNP Paribas is the global leader ;
  • structured commodities financing in emerging markets: export pre-financing, reserves financing and structured inventory financing ;
  • corporate loans for energy, metals and mining activities in industrialised countries ;
  • project finance: loans structured on the basis of cash flows, especially in the energy and infrastructure sectors ;
  • export financing: 10 dedicated desks in exporter countries and some 30 specialised correspondent banks in importer countries ;
  • global trade services: a range of products and services including Supply Chain Financing for import-export trading ;
  • asset financing: structured leasing, marine and aircraft financing.
