“Since 1973, BNP Paribas has forged a deep and lasting partnership with tennis. As we expand our business activities, tennis helps us to enhance awareness of our brand worldwide. Through creative approaches, BNP Paribas will continue to show its loyalty and genuine enthusiasm for this sport in the years to come.”
Antoine Sire, Head of Brand, Communication and Quality
The relationship between BNP Paribas and the game of tennis began in 1973. The French Tennis Federation asked the bank to finance the construction of the private box seats in the centre court at Roland-Garros; ever since, we have grown alongside the sport, sharing a common set of values and the mutual benefits of our wide-ranging relationship.
As a testament to this commitment to the game, BNP Paribas renewed a five-year partnership with the French Tennis Federation in 2012, preserving its status as Official Partner of the French Open until 2016. In 2013, we celebrate 40 years of loyalty to Roland-Garros.
The BNP Paribas Group has become a true partner, in every sense of the word: it sponsors professional competitions, amateur and family tournaments, and tournaments for rising stars, exhibition matches, wheelchair tennis and tennis-related community initiatives.
The major international competitions supported by BNP Paribas have allowed us to benefit from exposure the world over and an excellent reputation, and thus to meet with our customers and prospects wherever they may be. As our businesses grow to new regions and sectors, so do our involvements in the world of tennis.
Our commitment is representative of our values: tennis is a sport that is as much masculine as it is feminine, accessible to all, encompassing the qualities of fair play, responsiveness and performance.
