Creative Initiatives, Exceptional Events
Wearetennis.com: in 2011, the presence of BNP Paribas on the web is being reinforced through the launch of a new website devoted entirely to tennis. Here, fans will find the latest news on the world tour, as well as exclusive content, including blogs and a section of contests in which VIP seats for the biggest tournaments in the world can be won.
Ace Champion: an iPhone application developed for the 2nd edition of the BNP Paribas Zurich Open (March 2011) by BNP Paribas Switzerland. The application allows for the players to use their telephone like a tennis racquet and measures the speed and distance at which it the player hits a virtual ball.

ce Manager: the online game created by BNPP Paribas experts for students 26 years old or younger. The game takes place in a virtual universe called Universe-city, which is closely related to the world of tennis. The third edition of the game (2010-2011) attracted 13,000 candidates coming from over 100 countries around the world ( 4,000 students every year since the first edition).

Wild Card Amateur: this initiative was launched in 2010. For the first time, an amateur player had the opportunity to participate in a professional tournament, the Open 13 in Marseille, France. The Wild Card attracted 11,000 candidates and received a high degree of media coverage.
Best of Belgium: a show organised by BNP Paribas Fortis, combines an exhibition game (K. Clijsters vs. S. Williams in 2010) with a concert given by some of Belgium’s most popular artists. This occasion saw a world record attendance for a tennis match, with more than 35,600 spectators gathered at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.
And a Few Years Back…
Roland Garros Virtual Tour: the tennis world encounters the video gaming universe! In 2005, BNP Paribas and Playstation created the first virtual tennis tournament for young people between 12 and 25 years of age. The event became so well known all over France that it was organised the following year.
“Fed Cup Pink”: at the time BNP Paribas became the official sponsor for the Fed Cup, the BNP Paribas Group gave the 260 players in the 64 countries involved the opportunity to choose the canvas sheet color to be used throughout the tournaments and define its new identity. The new pink canvas sheet named “Fed Cup Pink”, was officially presented in 2006.
Sunday Start: for this event, organised on the eve of the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris each year since 2007, 12,000 young people and customers are invited to a unique combination of tennis matches and a musical show.
