The strategy of sports sponsorship has done much to develop the Group’s reputation in France and abroad. The relationship between BNP Paribas and tennis is mutually beneficial, but it is above all a story of passion.

Antoine Sire, Director of Brand, Communication and Quality at BNP Paribas

The relationship between BNP Paribas and tennis has strengthened and deepened over time.

The story began in 1973, when the French Tennis Federation asked the bank to finance the construction of the private box seats in the centre court of Roland Garros. Since then, we have grown together, sharing a common heritage and the mutual benefits of our relationship.

The BNP Paribas Group has become the first true partner of the sport in all its dimensions: local and international tennis, amateur tennis, family tournaments, college and professional competitions, differently abled sporting events.

The major international competitions supported by BNP Paribas allow us to benefit from exposure the world over and an excellent reputation, and thus to meet with our customers and prospects wherever they may be.

Thus, through our various Group activities, we meet new people, and as we establish ourselves in new regions and sectors, our tennis activities also grow.

For nearly 40 years now, BNP Paribas has not limited itself to exposing its brand; it helps to promote the success of the events it supports with boundless enthusiasm.

Our commitment is representative of our values because tennis is a sport that is as much masculine as it is feminine, accessible to all, encompassing the qualities of fair play, responsiveness and performance.
