The BNP Paribas's affiliate in Guinea is La Banque Internationale pour le Commerce et l'Industrie de la Guinée (BICIGUI), which was founded in December 1985. It is affiliated both to the BNP Paribas's network, and to those of Dresdner Bank and Banque Bruxelles Lambert, through their stakes in the Société Française pour les pays d'Outre-Mer (SFOM - French Company for Overseas Countries).
The BICIGUI is today the biggest bank in this West African country. Its head office is in Conakry and it has several other branches: in Conakry-Madina, Conakry-Niger, Conakry-Dixin-Gare, Fria, Kamsar, Kankan, Kissidougou, Labé, Macenta, Mamou and N'zérékoré, and a periodical office in Boke. It is an associate bank, with all the usual activities of a commercial bank.
