BNP Paribas is present in South Africa as a Representative Office. Opened in 1991, the office deals both with large South-african and international clientele.

• The Representative Office handles the BNP Paribas relationship with financial institutions, local authorities and large South-African companies.
• Corporate Finance, Trade Finance, Export Credit, Corporate Banking are the most representative business lines.
• Assistance for clients of the bank (network, banking and specialized subsidiaries) in prospecting markets.
• Prospecting for business opportunities with local industrial and trading companies towards France and French-speaking countries; especially French-speaking Africa countries where we are located. Follow up of major local projects.
• Liaising with French diplomatic missions and with the "Poste d'Expansion Economique".
