SMS BANKING: Mobile banking by text message

BICIG, the BNP Paribas subsidiary in Gabon, has just launched SMS BANKING, a new service for private and corporate customers, as well as the self-employed and managers of small and medium businesses.
With SMS BANKING, customers can obtain information regarding their account wherever they are, whenever they want, no matter which mobile operator they use. Information will be sent either weekly, or via alerts. The customer can also request information by SMS using a keyword and access code.
Depending which options are chosen, customers can be informed of their account balance, their latest transactions, salary payments, or if they have exceeded their overdraft limit. A month-long communications campaign is accompanying the launch of SMS BANKING.
